Volkswagen Jetta Facelift was revealed at 2018 Detroit Motor Show which is also known as North American International Auto Show. Just like the other Volkswagens, the Jetta is also based on the new MQB platform. The new Jetta is longer, taller and wider than the Indian Jetta. The wheelbase of the Jetta Facelift has also been increased which opens more space in the cabin. Volkswagen Jetta Facelift boot space is measured at 510-litres just like the Indian Jetta. The new Jetta looks like an elder sister to the Volkswagen Virtus. The front gets full LED headlamps with LED Daytime-Running Lamps. The overall design of the sedan is simple yet elegant and you would easily be able to recognize it as a Volkswagen due to its design language. The side profile gets diamond-cut alloy wheels with a swooping roof-line. At the rear, you will find taillamps that look like the taillamps of Audi A4. Volkswagen Jetta Facelift interior derives a lot of design inspiration from the Polo that is sold in foreign countries. The driver gets a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster with a multi-information display that shows important information to the driver. Luxury features include ambient lighting, heated and ventilated seats and front electrically powered seats with memory function. The touchscreen infotainment system comes with in-built navigation and is connected to a 400-watt speaker system that is sourced from Beats Audio.
Volkswagen Jetta Facelift specs offer a 1.4-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine which produces a max power output of 150PS and a peak torque output of 250Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission or a new 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Volkswagen Jetta Facelift price is expected to start from Rs. 14 lakhs.
