Honda City has better mileage than Volkswagen Vento – 17.4 Kmpl vs 16.96 Kmpl. The trim’s compared have different gearboxes as well – 6 speed manual for City and 7 speed automatic for Vento. The turning radius of City is lesser than Vento’s – 5.3 meters vs 5.4 meters. In terms of engine power too, Honda seems to have an edge with 195Kmph as opposed to 185Kmph for Vento. However, the build quality of Vento is better and the fuel tank capacity – 55 litres to 40 litres for Honda City.
Both Vento and City are comparable to each other on many fronts. Both offer option of diesel and petrol engine along with manual and automatic transmission. Both have the same space inside. Though, the interior quality, fit and finish is nicer in VW Vento than City. City offer better acceleration and also offers better driveability. Further, city has better fuel efficiency than the Vento. Both costs almost same but the resale value and aftersales service is better for Honda City. Overall, City gives you more bang for your buck than Vento.

I am considering to buy new Volkswagen Highline (petrol) but it has some cons like no rear camera, average mileage, after sale service is not good, expensive parts, low resale value, does it still worth buying? Please suggest in comparison to Maruti Ciaz and Honda City?
