Which is the best transmission option between automatic and manual? Also mention why one is better than the other?

More traffic and jams leads to high usage of the clutch and frequent gear changes. This will wear down the clutch plate and reduce the mileage of the engine while city driving. However, if one has to travel a lot and the vehicle is used mostly on the highways or on hilly areas then the manual transmission is much better where there is power under the hood at one’s disposal and a better mileage as well. On hilly roads one can always drive the vehicle in an under gear which delivers more power while the automatic transmission will keep reducing the rpm of the engine by keeping the vehicle at a higher gear. Once you figure out all the above aspects that what is the purpose of the car i.e city driving, highway driving, hilly driving etc. then you can choose between both the engines. Nowadays both engines will perform similarly in terms of bhp and mileage but the question lies only in the usage of the same.
