Good car but prone to issues

Mohan raj's review on Volkswagen Vento 1.2 TSI Comfortline AT
Year of Manufacture : 2016 | Driven no. of Kms. : 27690
- Pros: I bought this car for the solid built, safety package it offers like airbag abs ebd Hillhold esp etc. Decent mileage overall of 15kmpl for petrol AT. Have been driving 4000km per month.
- Cons: The infamous DSG is prone to issues and jerky during down shifts. I have upgraded the software but the jerk issues persist. The rotors hardly was good for 10000 kms and I am facing issues like rod knock which is surprising on a new car. The amount of rattling from doors and panels are irritating though they are solidly built
I would strongly suggest people to stay away from vento as the parts are expensive and there are way too many sensors used in the car. Recently, to make things worse i face rod knock issues during acceleration which the company service center is unable to rectify. The DSG gearbox itself costs upwardly of 4 lakhs. The service centres are incapable of diagnosing critical issues and last but not least is the attitude of the dealers in honouring warranty related issues is truly pathetic. I own a trouble free 2003 santro that has run 276000 kms, a 2011 figo with great memories of 294000 kms and an all new fiesta 2015 with 22000kms on the odo. This car is by far the worst I have had. Overall, please stay away unless you have deep pockets.
