Volkswagen Virtus Preview

Volkswagen Virtus is basically the sedan version of the Polo which is a hatchback offered from the automotive giant Volkswagen. The Virtus even shares the same platform as the Polo, the MQB A0 which provides rigidity, strengthening while keeping the weight of the vehicle less. The MQB A0 platform is the smaller version of the popular MQB platform which is used in many vehicles sold by Volkswagen, Audi and Skoda. Volkswagen spent a whopping $60 billion to develop this platform. Volkswagen Virtus shares many parts with the Polo-like the suspension, engine, lighting equipment, interior and much more. Volkswagen Virtus exterior is a lot like the Polo which is sold in abroad and has been kept clean. At the front, you get optional LED headlamps with Daytime-Running Lamps with a simple double-slat chrome grille. The side profile is dominated with the diamond-cut alloy wheels and sloping rear window line. The rear houses sleek LED taillamps with a chrome-strip running in the bottom. The Volkswagen Virtus shares its equipment list with the Polo with features like a 10.3-inch digital instrument cluster with multi-information display for the driver that shows vital details to the driver, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system which comes with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay for smartphone connectivity and built-in navigation. Volkswagen Virtus boot capacity is 521-litres so you can fit in a lot of bags in such a huge boot. It is important to note that the Virtus is longer than the Vento which means that the Virtus has more legroom for the rear passengers which makes the sedan more comfortable for long journeys. Volkswagen Virtus safety features include airbags, Anti-lock braking system with Electronic Brake Distribution, Stability control and much more.
In the foreign market, Volkswagen Virtus specs come with a 1.6-litre petrol engine which makes a max power output of 108bhp. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. There is also a 1.0-litre turbocharged TSI petrol engine available that makes max power of 127bhp and is paired to a 6-Speed Dual-clutch transmission that shifts smoothly. Volkswagen Virtus price can be around Rs. 10 to Rs. 15 lakhs.
