Before anything else, Volvo V40 has got the record breaking EURO/NCAP rating, i.e. it is the safest car in the world. And that would precisely be because of its immense safety features, some of them like seat-belts with load-limiters and pre-tensioners, side, curtain and dual stage airbags, traction control, laser assisted automatic braking and several other computer programmes. Its passenger compartment has been reinforced and the body has energy absorbent materials along with side impact beams and protection alarms at sides front and rear.
The Volvo V40 is arguably the safest car on the road and has the comfort and style to make it a tempting choice for families. The V40 is a good looking, comfortable and incredibly safe hatchback. Volvo's reputation for building solid and protective cars hasn’t escaped the V40, as Euro NCAP identified it as the safest small family car to buy in 2012. It was one of the first with autonomous braking – a system which automatically applies the brakes if it senses you’re about to crash. A few years on, the V40's class rating hasn’t been bettered, and is one of the reasons why it won Car buyer's Safest Car award in 2015.
