Volkswagen, the auto manufacturer from Germany, believes in improving its products and offering something new to the prospective customers, as a part of its marketing strategy. It is now rumoured that Volkswagen is working on improving its ‘VW Polo’ model, and is likely to come out with a new version with improved engine performance. They will unveil the modified version of ‘Polo hatchback’ soon in the market. The hatchback was spied on the roads in EU during ‘test’ drives. It is likely to have 1.0 Litre 3 Cylinder ‘TSI engine’. The engine is currently used in another Volkswagen model ‘Upl’.
With the improved 1.0 Litre engine the car is likely achieve a speed of 60 BHP to 90 BHP. It is rumoured that both the exterior and interior of the vehicle are also modified. The exterior will now come along with a shorter antenna and redesigned rear lights. The front bumpers are modified slightly. The model will now come with a modified informatics system and will now have a revamped dash board. Volkswagen believes in cutting edge technology and high performance and it is hoped that this new model will also come with the established features.
The model will be introduced in entry level version. It is not announced when this face lifted version will be introduced in India; however, it is hoped in that next year (‘2014’) Volkswagen will introduce ‘Upl’ model. So far the car manufacturer has introduced ‘VW Polo sports version’ in the country. This particular model has a 1.2 Litre ‘TSI engine’. Recently there are rumours in the market that the diesel version of the vehicle is also likely to be launched in India. Volkswagen has a dedicated fan following in India; anxious to accept and appreciate any vehicles which come out from its factories and it is hoped that the company will not disappoint and hopefully unveil the face lifted VW Polo as well shortly.
