The official photographs of the 1290 SuperDuke GT wearing a camo are out. The Austrian motorcycle manufacturer will unveil the production vesion of the 1290 GT at the upcoming 2015 EICMA show. 1290 GT is actually the touring version of the naked 1290 SuperDuke, we posted the spy shots of the same few weeks ago and now KTM has officially revealed the motorcycle prior to its debut at the EICMA 2015.
1290 GT is based on the same platform as the 1290 SuperDuke but the bike has been tweaked to complement its touring capabilities. Some of the most obvious changes the new GT gets includes the wide windscreen at the front, wider and more comfortable seats to hold your back on long tours, longer and lower rear subframe. The frame on the GT 1290 is not fully painted orange but on the other hand is a mix of orange–black.
Talking about the features GT 1290 will be equipped with includes heated grips, semi active suspension with four modes, cruise control and quick-shifter as standard. It will also have three riding modes - Sport, Street and Rain. The bike will run on the same 1301cc LC8 engine but the unit will be slightly detuned to fit into the touring nature of GT 1290. As we mentioned earlier the production version of the same will make its debut at the EICMA 2015, but there is no chance that KTM will introduce the same in the Indian market.
