18th edition of the Maruti Suzuki Raid De Himalaya to kick off on 8th October

Maruti Suzuki Raid de Himalaya is back again and this time, the challenges are even tougher as the participants will battle it out on a new track. The 18th edition of the Maruti Suzuki Raid de Himalaya is scheduled to be flagged off from Manali on 8th October. The first stop for the Raid will be the capital of Spiti, Kaza. From then the rally will head on to Sarchu and then Leh, and will be ultimately headed back to Manali for the denouement. The rally will test the ultimate toughness of all the participants as in a span of 7 days the race will cover 2000kms approximately in one of the roughest motorable conditions. The rally will culminate in Manali on 15th October followed by the grand prize distribution. Maruti Suzuki’s all-new compact SUV, the Vitara Brezza, will also be making its debut appearance in the Raid this year.

Maruti Suzuki Raid-de-Himalaya is one of the two off-road motor rallies from India listed in the annual motorsport calendar of Switzerland-based Federation Internationale Automobile (FIA) and Federation Internationale Motorcyclisme (FIM). The Maruti Suzuki Raid De Himalaya will run in compliance with the International Sporting Code of the FIA, National Competition Rules (NCR) & General Prescriptions of the FMSCI.
