Nissan revived the brand Datsun with the launch of GO hatchback last month. And the sales reports from the manufacturer claim the delivery of 2072 units of the hatchback in just 10 days of its official launch. The company had been showcasing the car throughout the country to make people aware about the car as-well-as relatively new brand.
The day Datsun Go was announced, Nissan promised it to keep it under the 4 Lakh price barrier.... which it ultimately delivered last month. We drove the car and was pretty satisfied with the overall feel with some if and buts. Mated to a five-speed manual geabox, the car is powered by the Micra Active's 1.2-litre petrol engine that makes 68 bhp, making it the most powerful hatch in its price range. The car offers also many of the first-in-segment features like joint front seats, follow-me-home headlights and a digital tachometer.
Like every good thing, the Go also lacks on some aspects as it doesn't offer any safety equipment, even in the top-of-the-line trim. But on the whole, the go manages well to be a VFM preposition and gives stiff serious competition to its opponents.
