The Japanese automobile manufacturing giant Honda has put out details of its new car, the Civic Tourer at the forefront of its official launch, which is scheduled to take place at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show in September. The Tourer was completely developed and built at Honda’s plant in Europe and is expected to be uncovered in the early days of 2014.
It is believed that the Tourer will either be powered by a 1.8 liter i-VTEC petrol block in automatic or manual transmission options, or it may end up with a 1.6 liter i-DTEC diesel locomotive given birth to by Earth Dreams Technology. But It has been confirmed that the car will be equipped with ADS (adaptive damper system) which will help the vehicle to improve permanence and console even under worst driving and road conditions. It has three settings, normal, comfort and dynamic, and for the first time ever, this option is available for the rear suspension as well.
The new Tourer is almost a similar replica of the Concept Tourer version that was uncovered last year. This wagon is being assembled for only Europe citizens, and will be the first ever Honda to have the ADS feature built into it. Even though this car will not be able to make an impact on the wagon drivers who drive the 3 series or better, it will definitely be the cup-of-coffee of an average Joe, who expects top-of-the-line quality, with unique design and a ton of cabin space. The rear seats can be folded which will give the owner a boot space of 1,688 liters and a completely flat surface. But unfortunately the car will not be available for any others and even if it is, may not be a hit with crossover SUV loving countries like India or USA. Along with the Tourer, Honda stated that a new furnished version of the Civic hatchback will also be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
