General Motors India have rolled out the much-awaited facelifted version of its flagship small car, the Chevrolet Beat in the Indian market today at a starting price of Rs 4.06 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
For the model year 2014, the new Chevrolet Beat has recieved styling updates in the form of a new chrome-accentuated grille, an upgraded exterior with new headlamps, re-profiled taillights and a new roof spoiler. There are also new fog lamps with chrome surrounds and a newly designed rear spoiler with LED inserts for the stoplights, along with reflectors on the dual-tone bumper.
On the inside, the Beat hatchback now features steering mounted audio controls on select variants and a new silver interior along with height adjustable driver’s seat. The oily bits remain unchanged with the same 1.2-litre engine powering the petrol variant and the 1.0-litre powerplant for the diesel variant. Also, on offer is a LPG variant that is housed with a 1.2-litre petrol unit.
The 2014 Chevrolet Beat will be offered in India in a total of eight colour options: Super Red, Cocktail Green, Sandrift Grey, Switch Blade Silver, Summit White, Misty Lake, Linen Beige and Caviar Black.
