Fiat India who so far revealed the rugged Punto Avventura and the Abarth 500 at the on-going 2014 Auto Expo in New Delhi, also introduced the new facelifted version of its flagship sedan, the Fiat Linea. The pricing of the refreshed Linea is still kept under wraps and will be announced only next month at the time of a formal launch event. The refreshed Linea has brought to the table a new front fascia revised with new horizontal slat grille, new fog lamp housing and redesigned bumper that is adorned with chrome accents now.
At the back, the sedan has got new re-profiled taillights, a chrome strip running across the bumper and the positioning of the number plate has now been moved up to the boot lid from the bumper. Although, the front of the new Linea doesn't looks much distinctive from its outgoing version but rear seems more appealing and up-market now. On the inside, the 2014 Fiat Linea dons a freshly designing centre console, complete with updated music system and revised plastics of the aircon vents. Feature wise, expect to see the new Linea to come equipped with cruise control, reverse parking sensors, rain sensing wipers and a new music system with USB, Aux-in and Bluetooth compatibility.
The new linea will continue to be powered with the current engine options of 1.3-litre MultiJet diesel engine that produces the power of 90 BHP and 1.4-litre Fire petrol mill along with the brisk T-Jet powertrain. The company has aggressive plans for the Indian market and the Italian automaker is working hard on strengthening its dealership network in India to improve the quality of its after sales service.
