Hyundai India have officially launched the all-new 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe in the Indian market today at starting price of Rs 26.3 lakh (ex-showroom price, New Delhi). Donning Hyundai’s new design language titled, Storm Edge, the new Santa Fe will succeed the current model, while competing with the likes of the Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour, Chevrolet Captiva and Ssangyong Rexton.
The new 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe will be offered in India in three variants, one fuel option and 2 transmission options. Powering all the variants is a four-cylinder, 2.0-litre CRDi engine, which is rated at 197PS of max power and 42.9 kgm of peak torque in the manual and 44.5 kgm of torque in the automatic variant. The engine will come mated to a 6-Speed automatic or a 6-Speed manual gearbox, deepening upon the variant. Both 2WHD and AWD modes are being offered in India. Company claimed fuel efficiency figures is 14.74 kmpl for the manual variant and 13.01 kmpl for the automatic variant.
The bouquet of features seen in the 7-seater Santa Fe include a 12-way adjustable seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, 6 airbags, chilled glovebox, daytime running lights, 18-inch diamond cut alloy wheels and LED headlights. Safety tech includes Advanced Traction Cornering Control and Down Hill Brake Control system.
