Audi has unveiled the 3rd generation model of its mid-size sports car, the TT, at the ongoing Geneva Motor Show. Conceived in 1998, the appeal of this beautiful looking 2-door coupe is now even more. The front-end of the new TT gets a multi-slat hexagonal grille, a wide mesh grille at bumper level and razor-sharp headlamps that look the business. The rear-end is also subtly treated with new tail lights and character creases adding a mature touch to the overall appeal.

Inside the cabin, the basic proportions of the elements are similar to the outgoing model. But to freshen up the interiors, Audi has replaced the conventional analogue console with a new 12.3-inch digital display that provides all GPS, audio and other necessary information. Enhancing the 'Virtual Cockpit' concept further, the centrally mounted air cons on dash have a built-in temperature display. The cabin looks more sporty now with new low seats wrapped in alcantara and leather and less a better design of door panels and dashboard.

Power comes from a 2-litre TFSI inline-4 engine that produces 230 BHP of power and makes the TT go from 0-100 kmph in 5.7 seconds. A more powerful TTS trim will also become available sometime later with a more powerful 280 BHP state of tune. Both the engines will be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and 6-speed S Tronic dual-clutch gearbox. The TT with manual transmission will be available in Front Wheel Drive layout while the automatic will be all wheel drive. The TTS will have all-wheel drive in both automatic and manual transmissions. The new car will debut in 2015 in the United States first, and then the rest of the world.
