2014 Honda City to be launched on January 7th

Snapshot: Fourth generation Honda City will be launched on January 7th

Honda India is all set to launch 2014 City on the 7th of January. Price, variants and other official details of the City sedan will be revealed at the launch ceremony. 

2014 Honda City comes with two engine options. The petrol variant is powered by a 1.5-litre i-VTEC engine producing 118 bhp and will be available with two transmission options - a five-speed manual and a seven -speed CVT automatic gearbox with paddle shifters. City sedan, for the first time will offer a diesel engine option. The 1.5 litre i-DTEC diesel engine pumps 100 bhp and comes with a six-speed manual transmission. Company claims that the 1.5-litre i-DTEC engine is India’s most efficient diesel engine which delivers an ARAI tested mileage of 26 kmpl. 

The next generation City offers various high-end features such as a touch screen infotainment system, automatic climate control, push button start and keyless entry and reverse camera with multiple viewing angle.

We expect, City to be priced between Rs 9-12 lakh (ex-showroom). Honda dealerships across the country have begun the bookings for the City sedan, and the deliveries will start after the official launch of car next month
