The 2014 Mahindra Scorpio has been spotted testing once again on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway by an IAB reader.
The fully masked testing vehicle tried to hide, a revised front fascia incoprating a bold front grille, re-designed headlamps, re-positioned air scoop on the bonet and a new front bumper. Though the side profile of the new SUV remains largely unchanged, the rear of the car carries a refreshed tail clusters and a new tailgate.
Mahindra has made some evident changes inside. Borrowing many traits from the elder sibling XUV 500, the facelift could sport a new centre console, a re-designed dashboard, new steering wheel and upmarket upholstery.
Mechanically, there could be minor revisions but will continue using the 2.2-litre m-Hawk turbocharged diesel engine producing 120 bhp and 290 Nm of torque mated to a five-speed manual transmission. And top of the line variant offers an option of All Wheel Drive (AWD) and six-speed automatic transmission .
Mahindra might showcase this facelifted version of the Scorpio in the Delhi Auto Expo scheduled in February 2014.
