Mini India is all set to launch the 3-door as well as 5-door versions of the Cooper hatchback in the country on November 19. However, prior to the much anticipated launch, the official brochure of these Cooper twins has been leaked online by the folks at GaadiWaadi. The brochure comes up with some vital information regarding the interior, features and equipments of the hatchback.

Going by the scaned images of the brochure, it specifically throws light on the 5-door variant's - which is a first for India - added roominess and space. In addition, it also talks about the new ‘Mini Connected’ multimedia infotainment system which is compatible with Bluetooth connectivity, reverse parking camera and a navigation system. The 2014 Mini Cooper variants would boast a dual tone black and beige leather upholstery, while the dashboard will be in an all black shade. Also, the speakers and dials which are circular in shape would be offered in Piano Black, Dark Silver and Porcelain White finishes.

Being based on BMW's new UKL FWD modular platform, it is bigger than before in terms of dimensions. The 3-door model measures 3,821 mm, 1,727 mm, and 1,414 mm in length, width, and height, respectively. On the other hand, the 5-door model is bit fuller in size and it measures 3,982 mm in length, 1,727 mm in width and 1,425 mm in height. Mechanically, the brochure doesn't show the engine options but it does reveals that a 6-speed manual gearbox would do the duties to one of the models. However, it is strongly believed that the new Cooper variants would continue drawing power from the 1.5L, 3-pot petrol and diesel motors, while the Cooper S variants would in-house 2.0L, 4-cylinder petrol and diesel powertrains.

On the other hand, the Mini 3-door version would be at loggerheads with the yet-to-be-launched Fiat Abarth 500 and it would have an expected sticker price in range of Rs. 27-29 Lakhs.
