While India is still waiting for 26th November when BMW will launch its beautiful and powerful M4 coupe, Marc Marquez, the 2014 MotoGP champion, got his hands on one, as BMW awarded him the M4 Coupe for his blazing victory in the MotoGP 2014 season. Marc Marquez won the championship and the last race of the season, taking his season wins to 13 out of 18 races, breaking the record of Mick Doohan's 12 wins in 1997.
The 21 year old Spaniard is unanimously hailed as the most talented racer ever born and he proved it right in the 2014 season as well. He scored a total of 362 points, finishing a healthy 67 points ahead of Valentino Rossi from Yamaha and 99 points ahead of his teammate Dani Pedrosa. To honor his win, BMW awarded him a BMW M4 Coupe, as a part of BMW M Awards, being given to best qualifier in MotoGP season.
“Knowing the prize is there at the end of the year gives you special motivation when going for pole on Saturday. This year even more so, because I really like this BMW M4 Coupé. I am happy to receive this car and, of course, I will enjoy it,” said the champion after receiving hos M4 Coupe.
The M4 Coupe is powered by a 3.0l inline 6 engine, producing 431 hp power and a maximum torque of 550 Nm. Also, the M4 Coupe offered to the champion is an exclusive special edition, painted in Frozen Red Metallic color, to match the aggressive style of the rider. BMW left no stone unturned on the inside too and gave the car a Merino Opal White, full leather upholstery and an Ash Grain White fine-wood finish dash.
