Nissan Sunny facelift is likely to be showcased at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo in February. With some vital cosmetic alterations, the new Sunny facelift looks more striking and sleeker than before. The front fascia of sedan looks very refreshing with new front bumper, revised grille and headlamps.
The interior of the 2014 Sunny facelift is borrowed from the existing version, but with improved quality and minor changes, it will be more upmarket than before. In terms of equipment level, the new Sunny will be richer with features like reverse camera, additional storage spaces, airbags. However, many of the adavanced featuers will only come with the top-end variant of the vehicle. The plastic and material quality will be superior than before. The fit and finish also gets an improvement.
The new Sunny facelift will have the same 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engine options, powering its existing line-up. But, both the power-units might be tuned with a purpose to enhance the fuel economy and driving dynamics of the car. The diesel powertrain will be mated with a five-speed manual transmission, whereas the petrol unit will have an option to pick either with a five-speed manual or a CVT automatic transmission gearbox.
If rumours are to be believed, the 2014 Sunny facelift is likely to have a more affordable price tag, compared to its current model. The new Sunny will share the floor with Micra series, Evalia and Terrano at the Auto Expo.
