Audi India has announced the launch of 2015 A6 facelift on August 20, 2015 in the country. Being unveiled at the 2014 Paris Motor Show in October, the new Audi A6 would come with several cosmetic changes at the outside and updates inside the cabin, while there won't be any mechanical changes. Just so you know, the most prolific addition in 2015 Audi A6 would be of the Matrix LED headlamps, which are already on offer with Audi A8L and RS6 Avant.
Talking about the cosmetic changes, the 2015 A6 facelift would have dynamic turn indicators, redesigned bumpers, restyled single-frame front grille and new LED tail-lamp cluster. “The Audi Matrix Revolution is about to begin. Take on darkness like never before. 20.08.15,” posted Audi India at its Facebook page, alongside posting a teaser image of the saloon. As for interior cabin, it would have new dashboard and seat trims. In addition, Audi A6 facelift would boast of an updated Nvidia Tegra 30 graphics chip for the MMI system. It is still not confirmed whether the India-spec model of A6 would feature massage and ventilation options, like the European model.
Under the hood, the Audi A6 facelift will continue to use the same set of petrol and diesel engines. The petrol variants would be powered by the 2.0L, 4-cylinder TFSI engine, while the diesel variants would come loaded with 2.0L, 4-cylinder TDI motor. Both these engines would be linked to Audi’s Multitronic CVT gearbox, which would send the power to the front wheels of the sedan. For those asking, Audi A6 would boast of a standard adaptive air suspension system. The A6 facelift, like its predecessor, would be retailed as CBU product, while pricing is expected to be over Rs. 50 Lakhs (Ex-Showroom). Audi A6 lock horns with the likes of BMW 5-Series, Mercedes-Benz E-Class, and Jaguar XF.
