Audi India announced that it would launch 5 new cars in the country for the next five months. Commencing with the new TT coupe on April 23, the company would launch one vehicle every month till August 2015. And, one of the products slated for launch in coming months is the 2015 Audi A6, which has been spied as test mule with no camouflage, whatsoever, on the Indian roads.
2015 Audi A6 facelift was unraveled in Europe last year and it comes with subtle cosmetic changes and feature updates. Talking about the front fascia, the new sedan would have redesigned headlamps, much bold grille, restyled bumper etc. to name a few. At the rear, it would flaunt a chrome strip at the bootlid along with a new bumper and revamped LED tail-lamp cluster. The Ingolstadt-based luxury automaker offers 2015 A6 saloon with the premium Matrix LED lighting system, albeit in Europe only. In India, it is still not clear whether the company would offer it with the aforementioned lighting system or not.
Inside the cabin, the A6 boasts optional massage function and ventilation for the front seats in the Euro-spec model. Every variant comes loaded with new seats, dashboard and door inserts. In fact, the company has upgraded the MMI system too for better convenience. It now comes with a Tegra 30 graphics chip, which is sourced from its partner Nvidia. Mechanically, the 2015 Audi A6 facelift is expected to be unchanged and would continue with the same set of 2.0L 4-cylinder TFSI and TDI units. Both these engines would be linked to CVT automatic gearbox, which would transfer the power to the front wheels of the saloon. 2015 A6 facelift would be pitted against the likes of BMW 5-Series, Jaguar XF, and Mercedes-Benz E-Class, while coming in a price range of Rs. 50-60 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom).
