It was understood that the German automaker Audi was preparing a facelifted version of the A7 Sportback - the spy images of which, were snagged in many parts of Europe. Today however, the automaker has released the official images of the 2015 Audi A7 Sportback range including, the current range-topping S7 Sportback on the Internet.
What’s new on the updated A7 Sportback, are the re-designed and more aggressive looking front bumpers, grille and the optional new Matrix LED headlights available with dynamic turn signals. At the back, there are the new angular exhaust tips, revise tail lamps and a redesigned bumper. Underpinning the new 2015 Audi A7 Sportback range is an aluminium and steel chassis, which Audi claims is “extraordinarily lightweight and designed for maximum comfort in terms of noise.”
On the inside, the cabin has been draped with premium materials such as the Valcona leather, the aluminium/ Beaufort walnut inlay, which can be had in five colour options. Audi’s trademark MMI Navigation Plus has also been updated with the MMI touch, courtesy of the Nvidia graphics processor and the LTE Internet connectivity. Comfort features list includes, adaptive cruise control, side assist, active lane assist, night vision and the pre-sense safety system.
The new A7 Sportback will be offered with a host of different engines, both petrol and diesel. The entry-level Audi A7 Sportback Ultra will be powered by a 3.0-litre V6 engine that is rated at 218PS. A 3.0-litre TDI diesel engine developing 272PS is also on the offer, while a 3.0-litre bi-turbo diesel unit puts out 320PS and comes mated to an eight speed automatic transmission. All other engines are fitted with the seven-speed S tronic box. The range topping S7 Sportback has been fitted with a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that is able to put out 450PS of max power via all four wheels.
The new 2015 Audi A7 Sportback & S7 Sportback will hit the showrooms in UK this September 2014.
