Audi India has finally launched the keenly-awaited 2015 Q3 facelift at an introductory price of Rs. 28.99 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi) in the country. The entry-level SUV of the German luxury autmaker in India comes with several cosmetic changes at the outside, while the interiors have been retained from the preceding model. Mechanically, the Audi Q3 facelift is unchanged and carries the same set of engines. It has been launched in four variants - Q3 S, Q3 Premium, and Q3 Premium Plus, Q3 Technology.
"It is no secret that the Audi Q3 is one of the most propular models in our product portfolio. The car has been a winner ever since its launch and still excites the young achievers. However, Audi belives in constant innovation and improvements and we are happy to bring the new Audi Q3 to our Audi enthusiasts. We are confident that the new Audi Q3 will bring in many members to the Audi family much like it did since its launch and will further strengthen our dominance in the compact luxury segment in the land of quattro - India," said Mr. Joe King, Head, Audi India. As for the exterior changes, the new Q3 flaunts LED headlamps, company’s new Singleframe grille, and a new bumper with a revised front fascia. Audi has ruled out fog lights in favour of ‘all-weather’ LED headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights.
Audi Q3 is on offer with either an all-black interior cabin or with black-beige dual tone interiors. The preceding model used to boast a wooden trim, which is not available with the new model as it has been replaced with a textured metallic finish with chrome treatment. In addition, the Q3 facelift comes with new ‘aluminium tangent silver’ inlays on the door pads and dashboard. As for features, the new Audi Q3 comes equipped with a satellite navigation system, powered front seats, a reverse camera, 20 GB hard drive, 2 SD card slots, sophisticated phone-pad, panaromic sunroof, and a new sound system. It also has six-airbags as standard safety feature.
Under the hood, the Audi Q3 SUV has a 2.0L, 4-cylinder TDI diesel motor which churns out 174bhp of maximum power and 380Nm of peak torque. It is linked to a 7-speed S-tronic gearbox which has paddle shifters. The power is transferred to all the four wheels via company's Quattro all-wheel drive system. The SUV has a top speed of 212kmph, while delivering an ARAI Specifed mileage of 15.73kmpl. Just so you know, the price-cut Q3 S variant is available with a manual transmission as well.
