Audi India has finally launched the 2015 TT coupe at an introductory price of Rs. 60.34 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi) in the country. The new TT is around 50 kgs. lighter than the preceding model due to the use of Volkswagen group's new MQB platform and Audi Space Frame Technology. It comes loaded with several eye-catching features, while sharing its designing cues with R8 and Audi Prologue Concept.
Talking about the exterior appearance at the front, it flaunts Audi's Matrix LED lighting system, bigger air dams, trapezoidal front grille, and redesigned front bumper. At the rear, it has LED tail-lamp cluster with a redesigned bumper. However, the silhouette is retained from the previous-generation models. Dimensionally, it has grown up as the length and wheelbase have been increased, while width gets reduced and height is retained. 2015 Audi TT rides on 18 inch 5-spoke alloy wheels while outside rear view mirrors are electrically adjustable, foldable, and heated with anti glare function.
Inside the cabin, there is no instrument cluster basically as the whole of information gets diplayed on a virtual cockpit. Some of the other avant-garde features present on the 2015 Audi TT are Cruise Control with Speed Limiter Function, Audi Drive Select, Audi hold assist, Multi-function steering wheel with Gear Shift Paddles, Electrically adjustable front sports seats, Interior mirror with anti-glare function, and Milano Leather Upholstery. As for infotainment, there is a Bang & Olufsen music player with 12 speakers, 2 woofers and 14 channel amplifier. In addition, it has Audi sound system with Bluetooth connectivity with 2 SD card readers.
Under the hood, 2015 TT coupe has 2.0L 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine which produces a maximum power output of 227bhp and peak torque performance of 370Nm. It is linked to a 6-speed dual clutch automatic transmission which propels the coupe to do a 0-100kmph acceleration in just 5.3 seconds, while clocking an electronically limited top speed of 250kmph.
