Audi India is all set to launch the next-generation TT coupe in the country. According to import-export website Zauba, the German luxury automaker has imported one and a half dozen units of 2015 Audi TT in India, which clearly suggests that the launch is not far away. Since, the Audi TT coupe is sold via CBU route in India, it would bear quite a high price due to maximum import duty.
2015 Audi TT facelift is based on Volkswagen's MQB platform, and it has subsequently resulted in reduction of weight by 50kgs. over the current model. Talking about the exterior appearance, the TT coupe flaunts a much wider and flatter hexagonal singleframe grille at the front fascia as compared to the preceding model. Also, Xenon headlights comes as standard, while LED units or Matrix LED headlights may come as an optional feature. 2015 New TT coupe gets 18-inch alloy wheels, while 19-inch and 20-inch wheels can also be ordered. Inside the cabin, the new TT coupe boasts a multifunction steering wheel, climate control, MMI Navigation Plus and a 680W Bang & Olufsen audio system.
New Audi TT would be offered in petrol fuel trim only with the 2.0L TFSI petrol engine. This engine generates a maximum power output of 227bhp and peak torque performance of 370 Nm. It is linked to a 6-speed S-Tronic automatic transmission with Audi's all-wheel-drive system, which disburses the power evenly to all the four wheels of the coupe. The company claims that TT comes with an electronically limited top speed of 250kmph.
