Steve Saleen, a well known tuning specialist based out in U.S came into limelight when he launched S7 supercar, a car well ahead of its time. After that he went into bankruptcy and wasn't into news for long. And now, he has surfaced again with the Black Label Mustang 302, a part of his three car project, including the White Label and Yellow Label Mustangs too.
Painted in California Sunset shade, the muscle car doesn't look like a Black label for sure, but don't be fooled by the paint. The Black label edition has come out to be more powerful as initially planned and now produces 730 hp of power and 814 Nm of torque from a 5.0 litre Coyote V8 unit combined with two superchargers. Saleen admits that this is the most powerful, refined, and advanced Mustang it has ever built.
Not only the engine, but substantial changes have been done to the body to keep the car on the road. The amount of power produced requires a lot of downforce and the Saleen Mustang is extended by one inch at the front while the rear gets extended by two inches. The stock suspension is replaced by the Saleen S4 springs, shocks, swaybars and bushings, while the tyres are fitted with 20-inch wheels and have 275-section dimension.
On the contrary to the Black edition, the Yellow and White label only produces 640 horsepowers and 766 Nm of torque. Apart from the Mustang, Saleen is currently manufacturing Camaro and Dodge Challenger based cars too. The Black label is priced at $73,214 and can be purchased in coming days.
