BMW, the German luxury automaker, would held the global debut of 2015 3-Series facelift on May 7, 2015 at an event in Munich, Germany. The 2015 BMW 3-Series facelift would not only be upgraded cosmetically, but it would also see the inclusion of a new engine across its lineup. BMW 3-Series challenges the likes of Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Audi A4, and Jaguar XE, while being priced in a range of Rs. 30-37 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom).
Talking about the cosmetic changes in length, the 2015 BMW 3-Series would flaunt a new adaptive LED headlight cluster, tweaked bumper and BMW's updated kidney grille at the front. The company would also introduce a redesigned LED tail-lamp cluster alongside the revamped rear bumper. The interior cabin is also expected to receive a few updates, quite identical to the ones witnessed in BMW X3 and BMW X5.
Talking about the mechanical upgrades, the new 2015 BMW 3-Series is expected to get the 1.5L 3-cylinder twin turbocharged diesel engine. Reports suggest that this smaller engine would be offered with the base variants of the sedan, which will pose a threat to the likes of Mercedes-Benz CLA Class & Audi A3. Just so you know, the 1.5L 3-pot diesel motor already does duties to the Mini Cooper hatch. 2015 BMW 3-Series facelift is also likely to get a plug-in-hybrid variant with 2.0L 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, supported by an electric motor and a lithium-ion battery.
