BMW India has launched the 2015 6-Series Gran Coupe facelift at an introductory price of Rs. 1.15 Crores (Ex. Showroom, India) in the country. The German luxury automaker has offered two variants - 640d Eminence and 640d Design Pure Experience - of the car. The top-end variant 640d Design Pure Experience is priced at Rs 1.22 Crores (Ex. Showroom). Just so you know, the BMW 6-Series facelift would be sold as Completely Built Unit (CBU) in the country.
The facelifted version of BMW 6-Series comes with several cosmetic changes. The front fascia has new LED headlamps, foglamps and redesigned bumper. The new coupe rides on new alloy wheels. The company is offering adaptive LED headlights with anti-dazzle high beam assistant as optional feature with the Gran Coupe. The outside mirrors are tweaked as well and has light strips as side indicators. Interestingly, the traditional BMW kidney grille in 6-Series facelift has 9 bars against the 10 in outgoing model, in order to improve engine cooling. There are also a few subtle changes at the rear of the car as well.
Inside the cabin, the BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe has a new dual-tone leather upholstery with head-up display. The centre console is finished in high-gloss black color around the climate control system and audio system switches. The 2015 6-Series Gran Coupe gets a 3.0L, 6-cylinder diesel powerplant which pumps out 309bhp of maximum power and 630Nm. It is linked to an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with paddle shifters as standard feature. The 6-Series Gran coupe accelerates from 0-100 kmph in just 5.4 seconds, while clocking an electronically limited speed of 250kmph. Below is the variant-wise pricing (Ex. Showroom, India):
