Price of the 2015 Cadillac Escalade will start from 72,690 USD including a 995 USD destination fee, when the new luxury SUV goes on sale this summer. It is about 3,725 USD more than the ougoing-model of Escalade.
The extra money gets you a rear-wheel drive 2015 Escalade powered by a 6.2-liter V-8 rated at 420 bhp and 460 nm of torque coupled to a six-speed transmission. The standard length of the car is 204 inches and the stretched version ESV measures in at 224 inches. Pricing for this model should be announced closer to the sales launch.
Being a Cadillac, high-end goodies such as heated seats, magnetic ride control, LED headlights and taillights, 20 and optional 22-inch wheels. magnetic ride control, 20-inch wheels, CUE, and a digital instrument panel comes as standard with it. On Luxury and Premium trim levels, Lane-Change Alert, Side Blind-Zone Alert, and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert systems come as standard. A package of driver-awareness features includes forward-collision warnings, lane-departure warnings, and a safety-alert seat system- which vibrates to warn the driver of a possible accident threat on one side of the vehicle or the other. Beyond that, the Drive Assist bundle adds fully adaptive cruise control, collision preparation, automatic seat-belt tightening, and front and rear automatic braking.
In its segment, only the Lexus LX sports a higher base price tag, at 83,540 USD. The next-closest competitor is the Mercedes-Benz GL-Class, which starts at 63,925 USD which is almost 9000 USD less than the Cadillac. The Escalade's other competitors, like the Land Rover Range Rover Sport and Infiniti QX80 startS AT 63,000 USD range, while the Lincoln Navigator starts at 57,160 USD.
