Hyundai Motors, the Korean Auto Giant is known for making some of the best looking and feature rich cars. So is the case with the Hyundai's SUV, the Santa Fe, which is known for world class ride, handling and incredible looks, too. Now, the Hyundai has decided to provide more comfort and convenience options to the updated 2015 Santa Fe. Though, the updated Santa Fe is for the U.S markets only, for now.
The 2015 Santa Fe Sport is powered by a 2.4 litre four-cylinder engine or the powerful, turbo-charged 2.0 litre four-cylinder engine, while the 2015 Santa Fe uses the acclaimed 3.3 liter Lambda II V-6 engine having a gasoline direct injection and Dual Continuously Variable Valve Timing (D-CVVT). The power will be sent to the front wheels as well as all four wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission.
As for the changes, the 2015 Santa Fe electric power steering system will now use a 32-bit microprocessor that enhances the refined steering feel. Suspension enhancements are also made for the 2015 Santa Fe and Santa Fe Sport, increasing the wheel bearing stiffness and lower control arm bushing stiffness, which increases the overall lateral stiffness of the front suspension. Revised rear suspension geometry and bushings increase lateral stiffness.
Other features will include daytime running lights, driver’s blind spot mirror and an auto up/down front passenger power window. Hyundai will get equipped with a power lift-gate for the first time, which is an innovative power Hands-Free Smart Liftgate with Auto Open, which makes it even easier for owners to gain access to the cargo area when their hands are full.
Standard safety equipment on the 2015 Santa Fe includes Vehicle Stability Management (VSM) with Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Traction Control System, seven airbags, including a driver’s knee airbag, four-wheel disc brakes and ABS with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist, Hill-start Assist Control (HAC) with Downhill Brake Control (DBC) and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
Santa Fe Sport will get a two-tone grille for 2015 and two color options: Sparkling Silver and Platinum Graphite paint. Though, we will have to wait for the India launch.
