Maruti Suzuki India Limited would officially launch the 2015 Ertiga facelift on October 15, 2015 in the country. Maruti Ertiga facelift would be the second company vehicle after the Ciaz mid-sized sedan to come with SHVS technology. Just so you know, the facelifted Ertiga MPV had its world premiere at the 2015 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) on August 20. It comes with an array of cosmetic changes, while mechanics are retained from the current model.
As we reported you earlier, the updated MPV would be introduced in five trim levels - L, L(O), V, Z and Z+. Needless to say, the MPV would come in both petrol and diesel fuel trims. Driver airbag would be available across the entire variant line-up of 2015 Maruti Ertiga as standard safety feature. Several exquisite features such as Start/Stop button, SmartPlay touchscreen infotainment system, Alloy wheels, Height adjustable driver's seat, Steering mounted audio controls and reverse parking camera would also be on offer with the Ertiga MPV. It has also been learnt through sources that Maruti would also introduce an automatic variant, based on the V trim, of the updated MPV.
2015 Maruti Ertiga would have a redesigned front fascia with tweaked bumper and new triple-slat chrome grille. Recently, the MPV was spied undisguised at the company's stockyard. Mechanically, the MPV would continue to carry both the 1.4L K-Series petrol and 1.3L Multi-jet diesel engines. However, the diesel engine would be introduced with SHVS technology, which comprises of a start/stop system, brake energy recuperation, and torque assist. It would not only increase the MPV's mileage but also make it a bit more affordable due to falling under FAME initiative of Indian Government. Both the petrol and diesel motors would be coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission as standard. In addition, a 4-speed automatic transmission would also be available in petrol guise with the V variant. Maruti Ertiga would be challenging the likes of Honda Mobilio, Toyota Innova and Renault Lodgy.
