Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire is all set to get an updated version with an array of cosmetic tweaks on the outside, while minor upgrades inside the cabin. The Maruti Dzire facelift has been snapped multiple times undisguised, and even the new prices have been leaked online. According to some reports, the company might officially launch the sedan on February 25, 2014 in the country, while the dealer dispatch has commenced.
Talking about the cosmetic changes on the outside, the new Swift Dzire facelift flaunts a new chrome grille, smoked headlamps, redesigned bumper, and new fog lamp enclosures with chrome garnish at the front fascia. The side profile remains the same throughout, except for the newly-designed alloys. At the rear, it gets a new bumper sans the fog lamps. It is expected that the 2015 Swift Dzire would be offered in at least 3 new colors, including a new Dark Gray shade, a Blue and a Red color.
Inside the cabin, it retains the dashboard from the previous model, but boasts several new features in the form of keyless entry with push button start, electrically-adjustable and folding wing mirrors, a Bluetooth-enabled music system, steering-mounted buttons for answering/ending phone calls and a power socket at the rear.
Mechanically, new Maruti Swift Dzire is not expected to witness any major changes. However, as seen with the new Swift, the company might re-tune the petrol and diesel engines to obtain more mileage. Both the 1.2L petrol engine and 1.3L diesel engine would continue to do duty with the new Swift Dzire. Some company dealers have even started to accept pre-orders for the Swift Dzire facelift, while deliveries promised from March 1, 2015.
Based on reports, the Dzire facelift is reported to be priced from Rs. 5.07–6.80 Lakh for the petrol variants and between Rs. 5.99–7.81 Lakhs for the diesel variants, (Ex-Showroom, New Delhi).
