2015 Mercedes-Benz B Class Facelift Launched at Rs. 27.95 Lakhs

Mercedes-Benz India has launched the 2015 B Class facelift at an introductory price of Rs. 27.95 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom,Mumbai) in the country. It is being launched in two variants - B180 Petrol and B200 Diesel. 2015 Mercedes-Benz B Class comes with several cosmetic changes and equipment upgrades inside the cabin. The petrol engine is unchanged, but the diesel variant gets a more powerful 2.1L engine, which also does duties to the GLA-Class and CLA-Class.

The German luxury automaker has also launched the A Class with upgraded diesel engine in a price range of Rs. 25.95-26.95 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Mumbai). The A200 CDI diesel variant now comes with 25 percent more power and 20 percent additional torque. In addition, it has a revised suspension set-up to suit Indian conditions2015 B Class facelift comes with high-end luxury features such as sliding panoramic sunroof, LED headlights, 16" alloy wheels, 12 ambient lighting themes, rear parking camera, cruise control, two USB ports, electric driver's seat etc. to mention a few. Also, the hatchback gets revised interiors with more chrome accents, revised dashboard finish and a new sporty instrument cluster. The Garmin plug & play navigation system is on offer as an optional feature on both the cars. The B-Class get a new leather wrapped steering wheel, borrowed from the C-Class. In addition, it gets a new seven-inch touch-screen COMAND infotainment system.

Under the hood, the petrol variant B180 comes loaded with a 1.6L, 4-cylinder turbocharged engine which makes 121bhp of top power and 200Nm of peak torque. The diesel variant B200 is powered by the same 2.2L, 4-cylinder diesel engine, albeit with more power and torque. It now generates a maximum power of 134bhp and highest torque of 300 Nm against the outgoing model's 107bhp and 250 Nm, respectively. Both the engines are linked to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with paddles which transmits the power to the front wheels of the hatchback.
