Mercedes has recently confirmed that the 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class is scheduled to be launched on the coming 25th November. Already a beautiful looking car, the 2015 version will be heavily inspired from the Mercedes' S-Class. Based on the company's latest design language, the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class will come in two variants; the C200 petrol and the C220 CDI. The prices are expected to be inline with the current range, starting at around Rs 35 lakh.
The C-Class has always been an eye pleaser with the new age design and features. The 2015 is expected to carry the same appeal with the long hood that blends well with the twin-slat grille, having the big three-pointed star, upfront. To make the car look younger, newer W05 version will have low stance and shorter overhangs. The 2015 C-Class will be more spacious inside too, and the cabin design will be complimented with a wooden centre console, making it more elegant.
Under the hood, the 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class will get both the petrol as well as the diesel engine options. The C200 petrol will be powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine expected to produce 211PS of power and 350Nm of torque, while the C220 diesel will be powered by a 2.2-litre unit capable of producing 170PS and 400Nm of torque. Both cars will be mated to a 7-speed automatic gearbox.
Earlier reports indicated that Mercedes has imported a single unit of both the versions for the homologation purposes, but Mercedes confirmed that only petrol model will be launched for now, followed by the diesel soon. Once launched, the 2015 model will compete against the Audi A4 and BMW 3 series.
