2015 Mercedes-Benz C220 CDI Diesel Launched For Rs 39.90 Lakh

Mercedes-Benz has launched the beautiful looking 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class at a price of Rs 39.90 lakh for the C220 CDI Style variant and Rs 42.90 lakh for the C220 CDI Avantgarde variant (both ex-showroom, Delhi). The diesel version joins the already launched petrol version which was launched earlier in November 2014 for Rs 40.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The C-Class is touted as one of the beautiful looking sedan from Mercedes based on the S-Class. The Mercedes-Benz C-Class comes with interior ambient lighting which is available in three selectable colours -  Ice Blue, Amber and White. The sedan is offered with 5 drive modes - economy , comfort, sport, sport+ and individual. The new C220 CDI is powered by a 2143cc, 4-cylinder diesel engine which churns out 168bhp of maximum power and 400Nm of peak torque. It is linked to a 7-speed automatic transmission which sents the power to the rear wheels of the beast. The sedan does 0-100kph in 7.4 seconds and has a top speed of 233kmph, while returning a promising fuel economy of delivers 19.27 kmpl. The C220 CDI comes with regenerative braking that converts kinectic energy into electric energy. The company has provided five colour options for the new C220 CDI. 

On the inside, C-Class boasts three zone climate control, keyless go, and a rain-sensing panoramic sunroof, while sitting on 17” alloy wheels. Additionally, Merc C-Class diesel also comprises of the latest telematics with entertainment and connectivity via Bluetooth and data card. With the new age design and striking looks, the C-Class has always been an eye pleaser and the 2015 model is taking forward the same appeal. The front comes with a long hood that blends well with the twin-slat grille, having the big three-pointed star, upfront. To make the car look younger, newer W05 version also gets a low stance and shorter overhangs.

Mercedes-Benz India also announed the beginning of local production for the C-Class petrol trim from today at its Chakan facility. The 2015 C-Class will compete against the Audi A4 and BMW 3 series.
