Mercedes-Benz India would launch the 2015 B Class facelift tomorrow, i.e. March 11, 2015 in the country. Having made its global debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show in October, the B Class facelift would come with a handful of cosmetic changes at the outside, while getting subtle updates inside the cabin. Mehcanically, it would be unchanged as same pair of petrol and diesel motors would continue to power it.
2015 New Mercedes-Benz B Class would bear several cosmetic chages at the front in form of deeper front and rear bumpers, a pair of side skirts, and new rim designs. The inclusion of these redesigned elements make it sportier than before. In addition, the B Class facelift would also flaunt new LED headlamp cluster. At the rear, the tail-lamps have, too, been redesinged. Talking about the interior upgrades, the 2015 model of B Class would boast a new steering wheel, which is sourced directly from the C-Class sedan. It would also have ambient lighting with a choice of 12 colors and a larger 8-inch touch-screen infotainment system. It well might be offered in three trims - Style, Urban and AMG.
Mercedes-Benz India would present the 2015 B Class hatch in both petrol and diesel guises. The petrol variant B180 would in-house a 1.6L engine which would pump out a decent power of 120bhp. The diesel variants would be powered by a 2.2L, 4-cylinder engine, which is capable of churning out a top power of 107bhp. Both these engines would be linked to a 7G-TRONIC automatic transmission. However, it is still ascertain whether the 4MATIC all-wheel drive system would be offered with the new B Class like the European markets. The company is expected to price it in a domain of Rs. 22-26 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom). It would be sold in India via the CBU route as the company hasn't shown any signs of commencing its production at its Chakan, Pune facility.
