TVS has seen rapid growth in its scooter segment especially since the Jupiter arrived. Buoyed by an increase in the market share much to Bajaj Auto's loss, TVS has come up with a update for their fairly capable TVS Phoenix 125 motorcycle for 2015. The Bike has been launched at a price of INR 51,900 for the drum brake model and INR 55,899 for the disc brake model, ex-Showroom, New Delhi.
TVS has refrained itself from making any mechanical changes on the 2015 Phoenix from its predecessor. Thus, the same old single-cylinder 124.53 cc engine capable of 11 PS at 8,000 rpm and 10.8 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm, matched to a 4-speed transmission, does duty on the 2015 version. Same goes for the brake's that are the 130mm drum and optional 240mm discs and a 12 liter fuel tank.
However, TVS has gone ahead and made a few changes to the styling of the bikes front area, and yes there is a new set of body graphics adorning the bike. The tank too has gone under a mild restyling and now looks more aerodynamic, while the ‘Phoenix’ logo on the tank now gets a 3D effect. The headlight clusters feature twin LED pilot lamps as well. TVS has also added a feature that is surely going to impress the masses, the feature if Vehicle Locator Key.
In the 2015 TVS Phoenix the vehicle locater key enables the rider to find their bike with a press of a button wherein the bike flashes its lights so that the owner can locate it easily in a crowded parking space and a fully-digital instrument cluster.
The colour options for the 2015 TVS Phoenix comes in red, two shades of white (Cherry White and White Night) and three shades of black (Crimson Black, Black Magic and Midnight Black).
