2016 Chevrolet Beat Launched at Rs. 4.28 Lakhs

Chevrolet India has silently launched the 2016 Beat hatchback in a price range of Rs. 4.28-5.55 Lakhs (Ex-Showroom, New Delhi) in the country. The new Beat hatch gets revitalized interiors, added safety equipment and convenience along with more color options, while mechanically it is still the same in both petrol and diesel fuel trims. The top-end variant is renamed as LTZ.

As for new features, 2016 Chevrolet Beat comes with remote keyless entry with foldable key, a driver side airbag addition to the LT variant, body-colored door handles, silver interior highlights on lower trims. The headlamps flaunt black accents, while tail-lamps get a combination of colored and clear glass. In addition, there are stylish fog lamps and a newly designed rear spoiler with LED inserts along with sporty reflectors on the new dual-tone rear bumper. Inside the cabin, there is a multi-function steering wheel with audio mounted controls and new new silver interior. Just so you know, height-adjustable driver’s seat is also available in top-end variant.

As for safety, the range-topping LTZ variant of 2016 Chevrolet Beat features dual front airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS) and electronic brake force distribution (EBD) as standard. “The Chevrolet Beat, one of GM India’s best-selling models, raises the bar in the country’s fast-growing compact car segment. The refreshed features complement the already distinguished styling elements in its segment, providing even more value to our customers,” said Hardeep Brar, Vice President – Sales, General Motors India. The New Beat comes with a choice of 7 exciting colors namely Pull Me over Red (new addition), Satin Steel Grey (New addition), Cocktail Green, Sandrift Grey, Switch Blade Silver, Summit White, Linen Beige and Caviar Black.

Mechanically, as said before, the 2016 Chevrolet Beat does not get any upgrade in any of the petrol or the diesel guise. The petrol variants deliver an an ARAI-certified fuel economy of 17.8kmpl, while the diesel ones return 25.44kmpl. “We are confident that the 2016 Beat with new features and appealing design enhancements will further strengthen our position in the marketplace. The new version was developed by carefully listening to our customers and enhancing it with smart new features and stylish looks”, added Brar.
