The Japanese car maker Honda has launched the facelifted version of its popular small hatchback Brio today. Brio was the first small car to be launched in India by the Japanese car maker way back in 2011. Since then it has not received any major updates. The new facelifted Brio is priced at 4.69lakhs which is marginally higher than the outgoing variant.
The facelifted Brio was showcased earlier this year in Indonesia’s auto show and it has launched in India today. The facelifted Brio has been seen alongside the Brio RS, which is a sportier model of the Brio hatchback with added body kits, sporty graphics and some extra features. Coming back to the facelifted Honda Brio, it gets an updated front fascia with a large front bumper like the Amaze, a new grille, where a fat black chrome slat sits with the Honda logo in the middle. The bonnet has also been given new muscular creases which is more prominent than before. Other than these changes, the car remains identical to its previous model on the outside in every other aspect.
In terms of the cabin, the Brio has received a host of changes. Now the interiors look a lot similar to the interiors of the newly launched BR-V and Amaze. The interiors of the new Brio has been given a fresh black treatment, the hatchback also gets features like a new audio system, steering mounted audio control button and automatic climate control system.
As per the mechanicals, the facelifted Brio would be powered by the same 1.2-liter i-VTEC engine that produces 89bhp of power and 110nm of torque.
With the new Maruti Swift around the corner and other existing better competitors, Honda is letting no stones unturned as Brio is one of the most popular cars from the Japanese car maker.
