Though, the company refreshed the Indian lineup of Verna in 2014 without any engine changes with a new set of alloy wheels for the top end SX variant, projector headlamps, daytime running LED lamps on the exterior. Most importantly, the company also worked upon the steering and the suspension. But, the car is still due for a new design work over it.

On a closer look, we see some changes in the fourth generation are the brand’s signature single-frame hexagonal grille, curvy door mirrors, rear window is a bit taller, and a triangular quarter glass. In previous spyshots, the new headlamp and taillamp design and from the inside a dual tone theme were revealed. Just like the ongoing model, the next generation Verna will be offered in 4-door sedan body styles.

Though, the technical specification has not been confirmed by the company, but we expect to carry forward the current engines and transmissions. In international market, we won’t be surprised, if the next generation Hyundai Verna incorporating a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine with Transmission choices should include 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic. Additionally, a new 7-speed dual-clutch transmission may be introduced.

Currently, the Hyundai Verna is available in both petrol and diesel engine. The petrol unit is a 1.4-litre VTVT petrol engine is good for 107 PS of top power along with the peak torque of 135 Nm and a 1.6-litre gasoline engine engenders maximum power and torque of 123 PS and 155 Nm, respectively. The diesel range features a 1.4-litre CRDi motor capable of developing a zenith power of 90 PS and mounting torque of 220 Nm, while a 1.6-litre CRDi diesel power train offers a towering power of 128 PS along with the top torque of 260 Nm.
