Official dates of the upcoming 2016 India speed week have been revealed, the event would be held from 9th to 11th December 2016. Earlier the event was planned during January 2016, but due to some delay regarding government approval the event had to be postponed.
The event will be organised by Elite Octane Inc, which also organises another event in Aamby Valley, Maharashtra which is named as the Valley run. The organisers are now organising the ISW event in Kolkata, the event will be held at the Behala flying club’s runway. The FMSCI(Federation of motorsports clubs of India) will monitor the event closely.
The entry fees for each class per category are Rs 3000 for M1, M2, M3, M4 and M5 class, INR 5000 for M6, M7, M8, M9 class, INR 5,000 for O1 and W2, INR 7,000 for O2 class, Rs. 5,000 for P1, P2, P3, P4 and P6 class and Rs, 3,000 for P5 and W1 class respectively. All the participants will have to use a minimum ISI standard full face Helmet, Motorcross type helmets are not all permitted.
Minimum number of entries for each class is 4, However, if the organisers receives insufficient entries for a class, then the organizers can cancel or abandon a class or they can even merge a class with a higher class in liaison with the Stewards of the event, if they feel appropriate. If the class is not formed & cannot be merged. The class will eventually run with less than 4 entries, and in that case the prize money is not applicable.
