Land Rover has started teasing the 2016 model of its most successful SUV Evoque, ahead of its keenly awaited global debut at the Geneva Motor Show on March 3, 2015. The company has released a teaser image of the new Evoque SUV which showcases striking new headlamps. 2016 Range Rover Evoque is the first company vehicle to flaunt full LED adaptive headlamps. The British luxury marquee would reveal further details about the SUV on February 23, 2015.
The powerful technology of full LED adaptive headlamps provides superior illumination in dark conditions, following the curves of the road, and is identifiable by the distinctive headlamp graphic. Gerry McGovern, Land Rover Design Director and Chief Creative Officer, said: “Our challenge has been to enhance Evoque without diluting its iconic design. The design refreshments give it an even greater presence on the road yet retain the emotional appeal that has made it so popular with more than 400,000 consumers around the world.”
The 2016 model year Range Rover Evoque includes a new engine line-up, new safety and convenience features, and interior enhancements all wrapped in the trademark exterior design. The engines with the new Evoque might be the company's latest Ingenium range, which is also offered with the Jaguar XE. It is believed that Land Rover could equip the Evoque with the 2.0L, 4-cylinder diesel unit, which generates 161bhp and 177bhp of top power with the XE sedan. Also, the company might introduce the Evoque Cabriolet this year, as it has been spied several times testing in Europe. Range Rover Evoque is also sold in India, albeit via CBU route and the new model could arrive in the country around the second half of 2016.
