One of the most iconic and sold sports cars in the history of mankind is the Porsche 911. Coming from the house of Volkswagen, 911 is the flagship model of the Porsche brand, and has seen innumerous changes, since its launch in 1963. And adding to the list of changes, Porsche is ready with the 2016 Porsche 911 Turbo, as seen in the recently revealed, completely undisguised images.
The images revealed are of the exteriors only, and the changes are rather subtle. The iconic Porsche 911 Turbo will receive a cosmetic revamp for 2015. The bumper is reworked in the front, but only slightly, while the rear receives a redesigned spoiler. Also, new LED daylight running lights and longer taillights can be seen. The car wil get a new set of wheels, with 10-spoke alloys setup.
The current generation Porsche 911 Turbo is famous for producing massive power of 520 hp from a 3.8 litre six-cylinder turbo charged motor. But the new generation Turbo is said to be even more powerful, generating the power in excess of 600 hp. That is a lot of power and the car will get improved track performance, thanks to the tuning. The torque is likely to remain at 710 Nm if not more.
The probable launch for the upcoming Porsche 911 Turbo facelift will be the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, slated in September. Considering that it is still almost a year from now, Porsche could change the design before official revealing of the car.
