This is not a usual thing we get to see, but a 2016 Volkswagen Tiguan was seen at a dealership in Bangalore. Just to add to your knowledge, it is the Tiguan that was earlier showcased at the Auto Expo 2016 and is the first SUV by Volkswagen to be based on its flexible MQB platform that also underpins the new Passat and Skoda Octavia. The 2016 Tiguan will most likely make its Indian launch in 2017.
Speaking of the exterior, the new Tiguan appears sharp, sporty with its angular LED headlamps with LED Daytime running lights that directly flows into the grille. Inside, the new Tiguan will feature a host of features that will include three-zone automatic climate control, redesigned seats, a 5-inch colour touchscreen with the option of a larger eight-inch screen with smartphone integration, Front Assist with City Emergency Braking and Pedestrian Monitoring, Lane Assist, Automatic Post-Collision Braking System.
In India, the 2016 Tiguan will be powered by a 2.0-litre TSI turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine with 180 PS and 320 Nm of torque, and a 2.0-litre TDI turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine that outputs 150 PS and 340 Nm of torque.
