The refreshed model of the Bajaj Platina Comfortec has been spotted recently at a Bajaj dealership in Mumbai. The new model has been showcased at a price tag of Rs 45,350 (ex-showroom price).

Bajaj Auto Ltd had launched the pre-facelift version of the Platina Comfortec last year. The bike maker claimed it to be a more comfortable bike in comparison to its rivals. Now, with the latest model, they have tried to further improve the level of comfort by providing a foam seat and rubber foot pegs. The overall setup of the motorcycle is upgraded with 20% more comfort than the standard segment which is expected to enhance its appeal.

The new 2017 Platina Comfortec gets some styling changes which enhance the look of the motorcycle. The new model features a V-shaped LED DRLs above the headlamp. The instrument cluster has been redesigned.

The 2017 Platina Comfortec continues to be powered by a 102cc air-cooled single-cylinder DTS-i engine, paired with a four-speed gearbox. The engine can generate 8.2 PS of maximum power and 8.5 Nm of peak torque, therefore, 0.3 PS and 0.26 Nm more than the previous generation model. The bike claims to return a mileage of 104 kmpl.

The new model is available in three color variants – black, red, and blue. The Platina will go head-to-head with the likes of TVS Star City, Hero Splendor Plus/ Pro, Mahindra Centuro and Honda Dream CD110.
