The latest generation BMW 5 Series is praised by the IIHS for its body and structure design, boosting its performance in the small overlap front crash test. Additionally, the 5 Series available Frontal Collision Warning with either City Collision Mitigation or with Extended Collision Mitigation earn “Superior” ratings in front crash prevention, both avoiding collisions during testing at 20kmph and 40kmph. The 5 Series has been entirely newly developed allowing for a significant weight reduction of up to 62kgs.

The 2017 BMW 5 Series sedan boasts of state of the art chassis systems such as Dynamic Damper Control with Adaptive Mode and Integral Active Steering, BMW’s intelligent all-wheel drive system, Advanced Driver Assistant Systems and Parking Assistance Systems.
