Ford EcoSport facelift’s brochure leaked online ahead of its official launch and gives a clear picture of all features variant wise in it. The 2017 EcoSport is expected to make its launch on November 9, 2017. It has been spotted several times undisguised on the roads of Chennai. The car would be introduced in 5 variants – Ambiente, Trend, Trend+, Titanium and Titanium+.
The base variant - Ambiente will come equipped with like dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, safe clutch start, engine immobilizer, 4-speaker audio system with Bluetooth handsfree, approach lights & homesafe headlamps, rear child lock, door ajar warning, emergency brake lights flashing, halogen quadbeam headlamps, bumper and body cladding and the likes. While the Trend variant would get some additional features like steering mounted controls, mobile navigation with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, dual USB ports with illumination and two front tweeters.
The Trend+ variant will come packed with electronically foldable ORVMs, driver seat height adjustment, load compartment light, reverse parking sensors, one touch up-down driver side window, front central armrest and puddle lamps. On the other hand, the Titanium variant will get engine start/stop button with Smart entry and capacitive sensor, projector headlamps, LED daytime running lights, rear armrest with cup holders, sporty 17 inch alloy wheels, leather wrapped gear knob and steering wheel and multi-color ambient lighting. The range-topping variant, the Titanium+ will get some more addition of features like automatic headlamps, cruise control system with adaptive speed limiter, side and curtain airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system, rain sensing wipers and ISOFIX mounts.
Under the bonnet, the 2017 Ford EcoSport facelift will be powered by the same 1.5-litre TDCI diesel unit that will make 99bhp of maximum power and 205Nm of top torque. While the petrol unit would be an all-new 1.5-litre Dragon-series Ti-VCT engine, which good to develop 123bhp of power and 150Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties would be carried out by a a 5-speed manual gearbox and a dual-clutch 6-speed automatic transmission.
