Seen in many recent spyshots, Ford has started doing test rounds on the Ford EcoSport facelift, making it clear that a revived version of the model is under development. And now we bring the speculative renderings from a Spanish publication that shows some exterior and interior changes in the face-lifted EcoSport. It seems, the rendering borrows cues from spyshots that revealed a few changes on the outside and inside.
The exterior of the new EcoSport is inspired by that of its older brother Ford Edge. If we look at the face, elementally it’s the reminiscence of the latter and will feature new headlamps, hexagonal grille, foglamp housing. Looking at the rear, the taillamp has also been tweaked inspired from that of the edge. Speaking of the interior, it will be an another intervention point, where the car will get a new steering wheel, instrument panel and Ford SYNC infotainment system gets a new colour display.
Mechanically, the 2017 Ford EcoSport could be powered by the same 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol cranking out 123 HP as used in the ongoing model and 1.5-litre TDCi diesel. The India-made EcoSport face-lift launch is scheduled for 2017 in the USA, while the Indian launch is expected sometime in early-2017.
