Know Everything About the 2017 Honda City Facelift

Talking about the launch of the new Honda City, Mr. Yoichiro Ueno, President and CEO, Honda Cars India Ltd. said, “The Honda City has been our most successful model ever since the start of operations in the country. It commands tremendous loyalty among customers and we are extremely excited to add another chapter to the success story of the model with the launch of the new Honda City 2017.” The demo units have been spotted at several dealerships as Honda has already commenced the dealer dispatch of the new sedan. The Japanese automaker has immensely high hopes from the 2017 City as it had been the most successful company product in the Indian market for too long.

First introduced in India in January 1998, the Honda City is among the most popular sedans in the country and has a cumulative customer base of over 6.5 lakh owners. The 4th generation Honda City, since its launch in January 2014, has sold 2.24 lakh units in the country. The City sedan would challenge the likes of Maruti Ciaz, Hyundai Verna 4S, Volkswagen Vento & Skoda Rapid in India, while expected to be priced in a range of 8-13 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom). Honda would also launch the all-new WR-V crossover in the coming couple of months in order to accentuate the sales and consolidate its reach in the Indian market. The WR-V would be a mini crossover based on the Jazz hatch and would come in both petrol and diesel fuel trims.
